Chairman’s Report
Phil Allen has stepped down as Treasurer due to health issues. Our new
Treasurer is Les Huntley after being duly voted in. Les was welcomed and
thanks were extended to Phil for his good work.
The Chairman has announced his select team to play Division 1 champions JB
Sports. 13 players have been announced which should cover any
unavailability. Captains have been asked to confirm player’s availability.
This event will be at Wesley Road on Friday 4 Sep and a lot of preparation
has been made by Mick and Steve for food etc to make this a good night.
Come if you can.
Reminder was given of Presentation night on Sat 5 at Wesley Road. Free
tickets and band, The Defibrillators. Come along to make it a good night.
Fixtures and Competition Secretary’s Report
All 2015/16 league fixtures together with cup fixtures up to Oct 23
have been distributed to team captains and alleys.
All sponsorship money received and passed to treasury.
It is intended to use cup and bye weeks to accommodate rearranged matches
in order to prevent end of season bottlenecks caused by slow and poorly
communicated re-arrangements.
Perishers have conceded their 18 Sep Usher Cup
Round 1 game v Rising Sun due to most of the team being away at Jason’s
wedding celebrations. It so happens that the winner would have played the
bye team –‘A’ team in Round 2, therefore Round 2 – ‘A’ Team v Rising Sun
will play on that same date 18 Sep.
Captains were reminded to send in results punctually to help accurate
weekly league updates. They should be received by the Tuesday following the
game at the very latest. In addition it is helpful to send the match score
either by email or via ‘guestbook’ as the league table can start to be
produced earlier.
Media and Statistics Secretary Report
Martin introduced himself having replaced Jason. There is little to report
at this stage.
The new season’s league fixtures and known cup fixtures have been added to
the website.
Attendance
The roll call showed that all teams were represented at the meeting with the
exception of The Cons who will be fined £10 with a 2 point deduction.
